Following the municipal ordinance n. 296/2023 which ordered the ban on circulation in Corso Umberto I, where the infrastructure of the low environmental impact transport system is present, and found at the technical table held by AIR Campania and the Municipality of Avellino the need to have autonomous vehicles for a further 25 percent of the route in order to be able to carry out the exercise regularly, it was necessary to request the authorization to suspend the service from the General Directorate of Mobility.

The Campania Region has authorized AIR to temporarily suspend the light metro line.

Pending the resumption of service, the technicians of the regional transport company will commit this period to maintenance activities to maintain the efficiency of the entire system.
