The plan to renew the corporate fleets of local public transport companies initiated by the company continues Campania region with the aim of improving urban mobility and reducing environmental impact.

They were delivered to AIR Campania another 16 new buses, designed by Iveco, powered by methane. Nine Crossway models, single-storey, 12 meters long and with a raised floor: 4 vehicles that will strengthen the vehicle fleet in the province of Avellino; 5 those destined for the military services in the province of Benevento.

Seven Mobi, an 8 meter model ideal for the narrowest and busiest city circuits, which will be put on the road in the next few days in the urban area of ​​the city of Caserta.

The vehicles offer passengers efficiency and comfort, guarantee accessibility to all categories of passengers, are equipped with the latest safety technologies, an on-board video surveillance system and user information. Furthermore, thanks to low-emission engines they help reduce environmental impact and improve air quality in cities.

«To date, approximately 90 new vehicles have been delivered, out of the 247 assigned. Thanks to the Campania Region's investment plan we are proceeding with the modernization of the fleet, which is now younger and greener. But both the economic effort of the Region, and what the company is doing to guarantee an efficient, reliable and safe service for all citizens, risk being nullified by continuous despicable acts of vandalism carried out by unscrupulous criminals, who are causing expensive damage, disruptions to public transport services. But above all they put travelers and drivers in danger", declared the administrator of Air Campania, Anthony Acconcia.

The latest raid, the seventh in the space of a few months, took place yesterday evening in Aversa, in Viale Europa: a bus was subjected to yet another stone throw, which caused the glass on the side to break.
